Cañihua is originally from the highlands of Peru and Bolivia. It has high rates of nutrients and medicinal properties. It is rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin E, vitamin B Complex, iron, omega 6, and 9. They are also gluten-free and low fat.
Cañihua can be consumed in boiled meals or by adding it in what you like best as a garnish or in salads. You can also mix it with milk, juice, or yogurts.
