Supply of raw material is less than 2012 since farmers have still reduced the plantation area of this item due to lower margin compared to certain other crops which the government has supported (such as rice, tapioca and other economical plant or other plants for biodiesel).
Changes in the weather also is a major factor of short supply for all agricultural products causing high cost of this year raw material. The price of baby corn raw material is increasing due to the above mentioned factors (low yield) as well as labor cost due to a new minimum wage rate which affected to all production of materials.”
