The price of coconut has increased over 10% in the last 3 weeks. Although Thailand imports the coconut from Indonesia, there is not enough stock and Indonesia also has a shortage now. Thailand buys 60-70 tons / day of coconut at Baht 42.00/kg (3 weeks ago it was at Baht 38/kg). The whole coconut raw material availability is only 50,000-60,000 units per day at Baht 42/unit.
We foresee the price will be increasing more and more soon, and the availability will be less. This analysis is equally valid for Vietnamese product.
