Description
Tiger nuts, also known as chufa, are not actually nuts. They’re more like edible tubers. They are one of the first plants cultivated in Egypt and traditionally used as both food and medicine. They are rich in several nutrients and have been associated with several health benefits ranging from better digestion to reduced risk of heart disease.
Tiger nuts can be added to a trail mix, mixed into yogurts, hot or cold cereal, or tossed onto a salad.
