Tuna raw material pricing in the Bangkok market has been confirmed as rising to $1400/MT, from $1150 last week. Tuna price has been rising sharply due to fish suppliers refusing to release fish to the market, alleging that prices have been too low for too long.
Fish suppliers are aiming to increase the price to $1500/MT, but more certainty will be had after the tuna conference this month, and depending also on the reaction of buyers in the world market.
The recommendation is to buy right now all product required.
