Raw material prices have risen to $1300-$1350/MT for May delivery. The catch is very poor and many packers are expecting that raw material prices in the FAD-free (Fish Aggregating Device) period may go up to $1700/MT.
Packers are offering prices with a very short validity period, in anticipation of a raw material price hike.
The recommendation is to buy now while prices remain low.
